On Sunday 19 Jan Tiltok users are not be able to visit Tiktok for the USA and use the editing software Capcut ( Tiktok related ), most of us might say this is no big deal, however for many users in the USA this is the end of the world. As a content creator, I have to point out a few things as to why they react this way.
Apart from the fact that for many people these videos on Tiktok have already become part of their life, I know exactly some people watch Tiktok when they wake up until they go to work and turn it on again when they get home until they go to bed, some of us will say just use Instagram instated, yes that is true.
However, although there is research pointing out that there is 80% overlap between Tiktok users and Instagram users, but there are a lot of Tiktok creators rely on selling their goods directly on Tiktok, and we can’t do that on Instagram.
Also capcut app is a very convenient app, honestly it took me a long time to accept this “Chinese” app … most of my friends should know why anyway. It is very easy to use, but if the capcut creators can no longer use it in the U.S, this cause a huge problem for contain creators in the U.S .
Apparently they are rushing into another Chinese social media app called RedNote and this really made me laugh, I was considering to use it many years ago but my manager stop me, she said that I can barely cope with their censorship.
Here is some astrological analysis of how RedNote is benefiting from the Tiktok ban and how long this trend will last?

We can see that Venus in Pisces will cross 23 Pisces after Trump’s inauguration, suggesting that Trump may try to save Tiktok, but soon Saturn will move close to TikTok’s Chiron and square Mars, and in September the solar eclipse at 29 Virgo will be right on Tiktok’s Sun, so I don’t think Tiktok will have an easy time this year.

Interestingly when I put TikTok Ban Bill chart on RedNote it does not have same influence that explain why RedNote only active for this moment and this trend looks like not going to last for long.

The current trend looks like an act of angry protest against the TT ban. As creators begin to understand the nature of the Chinese Communist Party’s censorship, they will return to using other social media. Of course, there is always the possibility that Trump will change the ban and TT will be sold to other investors.
