Comets always surprise astronomers and astrologers, because they are highly unpredictable. Many of us were not expecting any bright comet to appear in the sky this year, but now we suddenly have one to look at, and it should be easy to observe. You don’t need get up early or sleep late, you can see it after sunset and mostly high up in the sky (for the northern hemisphere). All you need is a good pair of binoculars if you want to see its tail.
Between January to February 2023 the Comet ZTF may become the highlight of the year (and important for astrology forecasting) C/2022 E3 (ZTF) was discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility on 2 March 2022.
The forecasting says the comet C/2022 E3 ZTF will reach its perihelion on January 12, 2023, at a distance of 1.11 AU, on that day the Sun will be 21º ♑︎ but Comet ZTF will be on 10º ♏︎︎.
According to many resources, we should be able to see comet ZTF with the naked eye between mid January to mid February. The comet’s closest approach to Earth will be on February 1, 2023 and by this time it might reach 6th magnitude and above, and so it will become significant in astrological forecasting (prediction) because it is visible.
update on 18th Jan 2023 : I saw Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF with my eyes without Telescope on the early morning of 15th Jan in Taiwan when comet was between Bootes and Draco ( 7 Scorpio ), I was at the 2000 meters high altitude mountain area with low light pollution. Here is the photo I took on that night.
Around the New Year 2023 Comet ZTF will be at Corona Borealis, the constellation representing Ariadne’s crown given by her husband Dionysus as a wedding gift, it aligned at 16 º ♏︎︎ , at this moment we still can not see it without a telescope or a pair of binocular, in this case I will not consider it’s influence.
You don’t need to get up early to see it.
From around 15th January to 1 February, we may able to see this comet as it brightens at this time. It will be in the north part of the sky moving between the constellations Boötes, Draco, Ursa Minor and Camelopardalis. It will be circumpolar in for high northern latitudes, for places like London you can easily to see it hanging high up in the north east sky after Sunset and reach culminate between 7-10 PM. You can use a stargazing app like star walk 2 to find out more details.
The following forecasting based on the comet’s condition around mid January to mid February, and please notice that in Astrology comet’s influences can usually last for whole year and I will keep it updated if the comet’s condition changes during this time.
Constellations and Fixed Stars
Around 15th Jan Comet ZTF comet will locate at Boötes and align at 7º ♏︎︎. Constellation Bootes represents a farmer holding a plough or the hunter chasing bears with hounds. It is a a leader of transition time with innovation, as the comet becomes visible in this area we can expect discovery of innovative technologies and a strong leader to help people through a difficult transition.
By 22nd January, the comet will move into constellation Draco and stay there until 25th January. Draco, as the dragon protects treasure in the sky, it suggests some event related to protecting important things in our life, protecting treasures or someone, protecting culture, idea or species, there could be important defence action in the news.
Between 26-28 January comet ZTF moves into Ursa Minor. We know here is the north pole of the sky and the centre court of the forbidden city in Chinese astrology. It reminds us we may start to see the world in a different way. We may have new “guide book” to follow or someone giving us a new direction to follow. It will shake our World view. As it passes Ursa Minor “little bear“ (26-28 January) together with next constellation Camelopardalis (29 Jan – 4 Feb) we may expect some shocking news related to the Animal Kingdom and wild life. Do not forget that this is the time when the comet could get very bright and is the best time to view it.
After 4 February comet ZTF moves into Auriga, and it will get very close to Capella on 5th February. In greek mythology Auriga represents the King of Athens, Erichthonius, he is the son of Hephaestus, and was the inventor of chariot. Another story related to this consultation and Capella is the goat goddess Amalthaea (Zeus’s foster mother) who holds and protects a little goat. Some stories also relate Capella with the Goddess Diana. This alignment may suggest important events related to the Car Industry, or techniques to help people move freely, free of movement, protection.
If the forecasting data is right, 10 – 15 February are the last few days we can see comet ZTF, when it move into constellation Taurus. This suggests we should be more careful with, cattle, animal husbandry, agriculture, foods, material, substances, and financial market in 2023, as Comet ZTF last been seen here. It will very close to Aldebaran, also name Facula ” little Torch” , a fixed star with a Mars nature, but by that time it may not visible to the naked eye. If it does then it will become important and significant in astrology as Aldebaran represents the eye of the bull as it stares at the challenger Orion. It reminds us to keep an eye on the enemy or dangerous things and related to integrity, honesty .
Zodiac and Planets
On the day of 12 January when comet ZTF reach its perihelion at 10º ♏︎ ︎, it will align with the Moon’s South Node suggesting decreasing and reduction, maybe production, financial market index or population (this will be very unfortunate). It may suggest that we find a new solution from those techniques that we are already familiar with, or we find a new usage for unwanted objects (Scorpio). Between 18th-24th January, the comet stays in Libra suggesting important events may have impact on legal issues, lawsuits , co-operation, peace making and negotiations. Between 25-26 January, comet ZTF stays in Virgo reminding us to take care of agriculture and services. Comet ZTF in Leo between 27-29 January will have an impact on World Leaders, Royal Families, wild animals, hot weather and heat. Between 29 January and 2 February comet ZTF moves into Cancer, suggesting impacts related to water, ocean, family, land, house and women. Watch out for things related to Leo and Cancer because the comet becomes very bright when it passes these two signs.
Finally the comet will move into Gemini between 2 February to March, disappearing around 10º ♊︎ in mid-February. It may bring us surprise news related to communication, and cars (especially as it also passes the constellation Auriga, the chariot) . Please pay attention on the early morning of 11th February if comet is still visible by the naked eye, as it gets very close to Mars, you may want to watch it, but when it comes to astrological interpretation it suggests we may experience more violence, conflict, war, heat, fire and explosions in 2023, consider the important astrology ingresses in Astrology, Saturn move into Pisces and Pluto move into Aquarius and also those conflicts already happened at this moment between Ukraine – Russia, China – Taiwan, North and South Korea, Israel – Palestine, we can expects escalation of conflicts.
