Most of us will agree that 2020 is an unforgettable year. Many people have never experienced: this type of life threatening pandemic, lockdown, keep physical distance with other people, restriction of movement and traveling. During this difficult time we also witness instability in the financial markets, jobs cuts and racist attacks. I have forecast those issues in several different articles regarding Pluto in Capricorn, Saturn in Capricorn and Saturn Pluto conjunction forecasting.
Soon we will face the Eclipse season of June-July 2020: Lunar Eclipses on 5th June and 5th July and a Solar Eclipse on the 21st June same-day as June Solstice, Cancer ingress. As Sun approaches the Moon’s north node, it is moon wobble season at the same time. We usually consider the Moon wobble to be when the Sun approaches the Lunar Nodes within14 degrees, this means that the Moon wobble season starts on the same day as the Lunar Eclipse in June. This suggests the strong impact of this Eclipse season can last a whole summer longer than other eclipse and as usual the influence of Lunar Eclipse are usually last for 6 months and Solar Eclipse could last for one year or more.
The Background : Outer planet cycles
We should never ignore the influence of the outer planet cycles even if we are focussed on an Eclipse, it will give us the big picture of what might happen. We should understand that we are still under the influence of Saturn Pluto conjunction, and we have already witnessed the impact of this aspect in global economic crisis and Pandemic of COVID-19. Saturn in Aquarius brings us distance and rejection, if we examine it carefully it relates to Hitler gaining power and starting to persecute the Jews in 1932.
The Jupiter Pluto conjunction makes people aware of the power of the ruling class, how rich people and the elite dominate our society in the name of moral, religious, security or financial stability. Finally the most important outer planet cycle, the Jupiter Saturn conjunction in Aquarius should be the most important aspect of this year, it has influence for the next twenty years and it is the start of a great conjunction in Air signs, this could suggest a fundamental change all around the World, it could be the time to examine materialism and the relationship between humanity and the World.
The influences of these outer plants cycles should be taken into account when we apply any mundane astrology forecasting skills from Ingress to Eclipse to County leader’s transit or progression.
Solar Saros Cycle 137
Both the Lunar Eclipse and Solar Eclipse in June and July can be considered as Family of Solar Saros Cycle 137 or North 4. This Saros cycle, beginning in 1389, is usually related to difficult times and Neptune themes, for example the economic downturns in 1894 and 1930 are both under this Saros cycle. China usually has important events happen during this Saros cycle. In 1840, the Qing dynasty had the First Opium war with the UK and in 1895 it was at war with Japan. These wars forced the Qing dynasty to give away Hong Kong and Taiwan. The cultural revolution, with its huge impact in Chinese history, started in 1966 also in the same Saros cycle.

When the British took over Hong Kong from 26 Jan 1841 during first Opium war, it was under the influence of Saros Cycle 137 (and also 142). Also the Joint Declaration of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the Question of Hong Kong was signed in1984. Interestingly, a few issue related to Gibraltar were also related to this Saros Cycle.
Outbreaks of pandemics or discovery of deadly viruses are related to this Saros. For example, Bubonic plague broke out in the South China area in 1894. The World Health Organization was established in 1948. The first HIV case in US as a sixteen-year-old male presented with symptoms in 1966 and died in 1969. In the end of 2002 SARS started in South China ( SARS was under the influence of both 137 and 142 ). We know that COVID-19 belongs to the same family of viruses as SARS, it started around the end of 2019, under the influence of Solar Saros Cycle 132 and it may continue to have influence after 21st June or have a stronger impact as the the Saros Cycle 137 is related to pandemic. It looks like ocean disasters occurr very often during Saros Cycle 137, Titanic’s maiden voyage started on 10th April 1912, 7 days before Solar Eclipse. In March 1967 the SS Torrey Canyon caused an environmental disaster when it was shipwrecked off the west coast of Cornwall, England, at that time, the largest vessel to be wrecked. In 2002 Greek oil tanker MV Prestige split in half off the coast of Galicia, the worst environmental disaster in the history of the Iberian Peninsula. More recently, on 29th May 2020 at least 20,000 tons of diesel fuel leaked into the Ambarnaya River in Russia.
Apart from UK and China, a few other countries may face challenges during Saros Cycle 137. Japan, Korea, Brazil, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa and those countries formed or becoming independent in the year 1948 or 1966 are very likely to have important political developments during this Saros cycle.
Lunar Eclipse in June
This Lunar Eclipse happened on 5th June 2020 19:26 UT, Sun Moon opposition at 15º Gemini – Sagittarius this axis is related to communication, opinion, ideas, education, religion, traveling, community and International geopolitics. Mars forms a tight T square with the Sun and Moon suggesting the recent global instability and protests are more likely to continue and could be more aggressive from June. Mars is also related to fire, heat, wars and blood, while Mars in Pisces is more like using chemical weapon or acid attack and it is emphasised by Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces.
Mars Neptune conjunction plays an important role for both Lunar Eclipse and Solar Eclipse in June, it suggests displaying the power of sympathy or empathy, it shows that weakness could bring power, however it also suggests damage from drug, poison, pollution, chemistry, alcohol, bacteria or virus. Mercury square Chiron may indicate problems related to transport, education, young people and students.
Venus is conjunct the Sun and also square Mars, it maybe able to calm down the attacks and aggression of the Mars’ influence, but as Venus cannot be seen in the sky and it is retrograde at the moment, we may not be able to notice it’s affect or it may work behind the scenes. Meanwhile Mars is at 15º Pisces align with Fixed star Achernar and this Fixed star are related to huge change suddenly happened and may end thing quickly. Uranus was at 8º Taurus align with Hamel the fixed star related to conflicts, this already show by protests around the world at this moment, however it also align with another fixed star Shedir which represent female power, maybe this symbol suggest us to change our way to manage conflict with female quality of contain, receptive, nourish each other and reflection.
People and countries that have Sun, Moon or Ascendent near 15º mutable signs are more likely to be affected by the Lunar eclipse. North Korea, Latvia, Philippines, Brazil, Denmark, Norway, Malaysia and New Zealand all fit this category.

There is another Lunar Eclipse on 5th July 2020 4:44 UT, Sun Moon opposition at 13 º Cancer and Capricorn, this axis is related to parental issues, care taking and management, ruling and control.
Uranus trine the Moon and sextet the Sun gives this lunar eclipse a revolutionary flavour, it could help people to change the world. But for people who are more conservative, this eclipse could bring damage and hurt feelings. No matter whether you are willing or not, this change will come to our life and some people will get hurt, it is important for us to learn empathy and try to help each other as Neptune still forms a trine with the Sun.Sun at 13º Cancer will align with Sirius, this star usually related to heat and problems caused by dogs, in ancient Egypt, Babylon and China, Sirius is represented by the symbol of Arrow, symbol of fast moving, and military action. However Mercury will align with Mirzam it could give us some warning, or maybe it suggests people and countries all have the urge to express their opinions.

This year we have Solar Eclipse on 21 June 2020 6:41 UT. We will notice it is on the day of Cancer ingress (June solstice day), both events are important for mundane astrology, usually the influence of Cancer Ingress only last for three months but this time it may last longer than one year.
Many astrologers consider the 0º of Cardinal sign as the World axis, when a planet passes by this degree it can have a huge influence, this is why this Solar Eclipse could have a huge impact.
First of all, this Solar Eclipse happens in Cancer, a water sign, and it still square Mars in Pisces. Although Neptune is not square New Moon directly but it does conjunct with Mars, so we can take this as an emphasise of the water element as well. Therefore we should be careful with Ocean, River, Rainfall, and any damage caused by water, related to water.
Moon as the ruler of the Eclipse suggests a sensitive quality, which we can read as being easy to be influenced or get infected. However Moon in Cancer as it is her own sign, may suggest it is strong enough to overcome the challenge cause by eclipse and other planets.

As we know, since last year, Hong Kong has had nonstop protests and issues of abuse power of the police force. Currently Transit Pluto is on Hong Kong’s MC and Transit Uranus was on Hong Kong’s Ascendent. The Solar Eclipse chart in Beijing has Saturn conjunct IC this suggest the land and territory disputes with its neighbouring countries will become more aggressive.

I would like to quickly address the Cancer Ingress chart, as it will happen on the same day as the Solar Eclipse. I will not analyse its influence again but I would like to point out the Angle of Cancer ingress chart will be similar to Aries ingress chart therefore if there is an outer planet on the angle of Aries ingress, it will repeat again in Cancer ingress chart. For example, in the UK we have Pluto on the Ascendent in both Aries ingress and Cancer ingress charts. This reminds us that the threat of death, lockdown (captivity) situation and feeling of crisis are not going away easily even though our government wants to ease the lockdown. From the Cancer ingress chart I think we will soon face another period of restriction of movement this summer, if we use Astromap, we will see the North and West European counties are affected ( France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherland, Denmark Sweden).
In Beijing’s Cancer Ingres chart there is Neptune and Mars on M.C, we already mentioned the possible influence of these two planets and so China should handle its challenge very careful as Saros Cycle 137 usually brings problems for China. Nearby countries like the Philippines and Taiwan have Mars on MC, this may indicate tension with China during this time.
Japan has Pluto Jupiter near DSC and so should be careful not only prepare for pandemic but also Ocean and Water related disasters. This could also mean Rainfall during Typhoon season or a tsunami caused by a powerful earthquake and may cause devastation, especially for West and South Japan which have Chiron on M.C paran with Pluto Jupiter Saturn on DSC. As Jupiter Pluto Saturn also on New Zealand’s DSC I will give same warning to that area, however during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic New Zealand reacted very fast and handled it very well, I hope that the Pluto on the DSC may suggest a careful attitude toward to foreign visitors during this time.
